“We had been located at an aging data center in Mclean Virginia for a little under ten years and needed to move as our lease expired and the facilities were old.

Despite having undergone virtualization and consolidation we still had a large amount of physical equipment to move all of which was mission-critical and time-sensitive.

We planned our move in three phases, 2 phases to a data center in Virginia about 20 minutes away, and another large move to New Jersey. Shawn & the team from CWS were very supportive and responsive from the outset and advised on things we needed to look out for and make a checklist to cover eg building access, loading docks, elevator access – CWS liaised with the building management as if they were part of our team to get all the insurance documents in place.

During the moves, the CWS team was effectively an extension of our internal team and worked alongside our site techs to de rack and re rack the equipment in the order requested. The CWS team was well prepared with all the packaging materials, spare nuts and bolts, and even rails to make sure the equipment was racked correctly. All our moves were done within the required maintenance window and there was no damage.
